![]() I understand that France is strong because of Louis XIV and Napoleon, but within both of their rules they were beaten by British military forces (plus allies, I'm not forgetting the value of Prussia and Austria to Britain in the 18th century). The British army is a bit of joke in EU4 compared with the Spanish, French, Dutch and most German States. I know that you have an unbeatable navy, but if an enemy army somehow manages to land on your home island or any of your defending territory, you are kind of screwed. The worst thing about England/Britain is the military situation, which stood like this before this patch. Then there is the problem of its cultural union being removed by event, nullifying even more provinces and the only way to reach Empire rank is to start conquering India and Africa early, as new world provinces don't count since they are part of your colonial nations. With the new dlc/patch out, I feel that England/Britain has been significantly nerfed.įirst off, as England starts with a Parliament, they don't get the benefit of the nobility and passing an issue in parliament is much more painful than controlling and maintaining another estate. ![]() ![]() Before we begin, I am British, so I may be slightly impartial. ![]()
